Sustainable Storage Unit, Fall 2017

The Sustainable Storage Unit was designed for The Ozone House—”a community-based, nonprofit agency that helps young people lead safe, healthy, and productive lives through intensive intervention and prevention services”—as their drop-in center was lacking secure personal storage. This cabinet utilizes reclaimed wood from abandoned houses in Detroit, used hinges and casters, and plywood for a more sustainable construction. The cabinet easily holds four backpacks with room for coats and other personal belongings, which can be secured with locks.
